For more than 35 years, James M. Goldstein has built his career around one thing: creating celebrations that people genuinely enjoy and remember.

As the founder of JMG Music & Entertainment, James has spent decades working in the DJ and event entertainment industry, providing music, hosting, planning, and entertainment for Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, weddings, corporate events, school celebrations, private parties, and other special occasions throughout Connecticut.

But for James, being a great DJ has never been about simply playing songs. It is about understanding the room, knowing when to raise the energy and when to let an important moment take center stage, keeping an event moving naturally, and making sure the people celebrating feel comfortable and taken care of.

Over the years, music, technology, and event trends have changed dramatically. What has remained constant is James’s approach: listen to the client, understand the type of celebration they want, prepare carefully, and create an experience that feels personal rather than produced from a template.

That experience is especially important when an event has many moving parts. From introductions and special dances to announcements, music changes, guest interaction, and the overall flow of the celebration, James understands how all of those pieces work together.
